Gem and rock carving is a fantastic form of art that everybody can enjoy! It is a project that is developed over time, with each session revealing a little more of your chosen sculptural form. Designs are limited only by your imagination, with each step of the process bringing a rewarding sense of accomplishment that will have you coming back for more!

How does it work?

A design is drawn onto the surface of the chosen material (with a huge selection available in our club shop). Next, the excess material is slowly and carefully removed with a range of tools until the desired object is finally revealed.

No experience? No problems! Here at the Southern Rockhounds we have a wonderful and experienced instructor ready to guide new carvers through the entire process.
